Wanda Harper Bush, 84, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, in the Heart of Texas Memorial Hospital in Brady. She is survived by a daughter, Shanna Bush, brother A.C. Harper, brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Carol Bush, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. She was born to Alvin and Gussie Martin Harper on October 6, 1931.
CWO2 Merton D. Pepper, U.S. Army, retired, veteran of 23 ½ years, passed away on December 31, 2015, at the age of 81 1/2 after a lengthy illness. Merton was born on May 18, 1934, in Goshen, Indiana; the son of David A. Pepper and Opal V. Burson Pepper. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 ½ years Julia Ann Templin Pepper, his children, Sonia Haub of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Sabrina Figert and son-in-law Dario of San Angelo, Texas; sons Brent James and Steven of Mason, Texas.
Norman W. Neece of Mason passed away on Sunday, January 3, at the age of 71. Mr. Neece is survived by his wife, Martha Martinez Neece, of Mason; two sons, Brandon Neece of Mason; Corey Neece of Amarillo; a brother, Robert Neece of Amarillo; and, six grandchildren. Genevieve Grace Mueller, of Brady, passed away on Monday, January 4 at the age of 75. Grace is survived by her son, James Cavaness McPherson, of Kerrville, two grandchildren, Emily Anna McPherson and Roger Grant McPherson, along with numerous friends and all those who love being in the country. Visitation with the family will be Thursday afternoon, January 7, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.
A celebration for the life of Jack Lee Kothmann was held Sunday, January 3, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. on the Cross Hill at Eric Kothmann's. Jack was born April 2, 1949, and went to be with Lord December 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by Jamie and June Kothmann and sister Joretta McAllister.
Bobby G. Caveness passed away on Monday January 4, 2016, at the Knopp Nursing and Rehab at the age of 87. Bobby was born to Ebb and Lona Millsap Caveness on June 1, 1928, in Mason County. Bobby worked throughout the Hill Country as a cowboy. He is survived by his sons Tommy Caveness and his wife Patti of Hunt TX, Bobby E.

Cliffa Gene Cook of Pontotoc, Texas passed from this life on December 2, 2015, at the age of 92. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ezra Glen Cook, her son Charles Ezra Cook and son-in-law Donald Ray Henderson. She was born August 30, 1923, in Llano, Texas, to Dawn (Spinks) Lange and Walter Lange of Pontotoc, TX. She graduated from Llano High School in 1940.
Donald Wayne Becker, age 77 of Seguin, passed away on November 8, 2015. Don was born in Seguin, Texas on March 31, 1938 to Paul E. Becker and Annie Mae Rux Becker. He passed away peacefully the morning of November 8, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Emma Jean, one son, Rev.
Cecil Joe Scott, 80, passed away November 4, 2015 at his home near Johnson City, TX. He was born July 15, 1935 in Llano, TX to Marion Clifton Scott and Ethel Delilah Scott (Smith). Cecil Joe started his career working with JD and Eric Slator gathering cattle before going to Arkansas to work on one of the Slator Ranches.
