Alex Howard Grosse was born February 4, 1925, on the best street in Mason, Rainey Street. His parents were Alex Egon and Alma Willmann, brother Billy Dick, and sister Jewel Grosse. He attended Mason schools and after graduating he joined the Navy. He served on the eastern U.S. coast during World War II.
Franklin Willard Brandenberger went to be with his Lord and Savior on 12/31/2015. He was born on his dad's ranch near Hilda, Texas, on 8/6/1925 to his parents, Wesley and Esther Brandenberger. Franklin learned to drive at about 10 years old and had special permission to drive kids from his area of county to school.
U.S. Veteran Clifford Parker Sr., of Mason, passed away on Saturday, December 26, at the age of 79. Clifford was born on April 23, 1936 in Mason to A.N. "Gus" Parker and Ida Brawley Parker. He was raised in Mason and joined the Army in 1953 when he was 17. He made the Army his career and retired after 20 years of service.

Herbert Gene Jordan, of Mason, passed away at his home on Thursday, December 10, at the age of 83. Herbert was born in Mason County on August 12, 1932, to Marvin E. Jordan and Hattie Geistweidt Jordan. He was a life-long resident of Mason County and a graduate of Mason High School.
Leroy Sanders, of Brady, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, at the age of 47. Leroy was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico, on September 2, 1968, to Howard Sanders and Eddie Mae Small Sanders. Leroy was a 1987 graduate of Mason High School. For many years Leroy worked as a paint and body man repairing cars.
Mildred Evelyn Eckert Carder, 94, died peacefully in her sleep on November 25, 2015, at Patriots Colony in Williamsburg, Virginia. Born July 31, 1921, in Mason, Texas, she is predeceased by her parents, Kinney Milton and Zilla Minnie (Wood) Eckert of Mason, Texas, and her husband, John Thomas Carder of Johnson City, Tennessee. Survivors include her two sons, Patrick Carder (Sandra) of Williamsburg, Virginia, and Kinney Carder (Virginia) of Leesburg, Georgia.
Patricia "Pat" Wagner passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015, at the age of 70. She was born in Austin on March 8, 1945, to Edith (Kidd) and Floyd E.Kothmann. Pat married Phil Wagner September 4, 1965, in Mason, Texas. She was a teacher for many years and retired from Llano Independent School District.
Clara Ellen Woodward, of San Antonio, passed away on Thursday, November 5, at the age of 78. Ms. Woodward is survived by her children Teresa Michele Kahn and husband Warren, Michael Norman Woodward and wife Carrie and Lisa Mollie Woodward all of San Antonio, four grandchildren Casey Kahn, Shelby Kahn, Kayla Woodward and Kameron Woodard and a very special cousin Diane Struck of Indiana.
Mr. Henrique Cantu of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday October 20th in the Hill Country Memorial Hospital at the age of 67 years. Henrique was born November 19, 1947, in Levelland, TX, to Thomas and Angelita Martinez Cantu. He married Ernestine Hernandez in February of 1968 in St. Joseph Catholic Church.
