Charles Evans Hughes Pluenneke Charles Evans Hughes Pluenneke was born on June 24th, 1932, and passed from this life on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the age of 83. He was born to Charles Conrad Pluenneke and Florence Nettie Geistweidt in Fredericksburg, Texas. He was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church in Mason, Texas.
Jesse Carraway Jesse James Carraway of Mason passed away on Wednesday, April 27, at the age of 84. Survivors include a son Randy Carraway of Mason and a daughter Missy Carlile of Reno, Nevada, grandchildren Jesse Walker Carraway, Cody Terry and Tanya Terry, nieces and nephews: Rene Robbins, Rebecca Estes and Terry Makowsky, great nieces and nephews Jennifer Bankston, Rheannon Wartenbach and Daniel, Monty and Matthew Makowsky.
Mary Lou Lange Mary Lou Lange, of Mason, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, at the age of 88. Mary Lou was born on September 15, 1927, in Mason to Edgar Leifeste Sr. and Emma Eula Shafer Leifeste. She was a graduate of Mason High School and a life-long resident of Mason County where she was a member of the First Baptist Church. On October 26, 1946, Mary Lou married Melvin B.
Patricia Dell Martin Pike Patricia Dell Martin Pike entered eternal peace and rest on April 29, 2016. Patricia was born on May 6, 1940 to Arthur Edward Martin and Adele Owen Henderson Martin, both of San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Brackenridge High School where she was a member of the Purple Jackets and the National Honor Society. She married Norman R.
Virginia Gray Virginia A. “Ginger” Gray, 86, of San Angelo, formerly of Brady, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016, in San Angelo. A celebration of life will be held Monday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brady with reception to follow in the church’s Education Building. Virginia Anne Miller was born July 28, 1929, in Webster Grove, MO, to W.H.
Walter M. Tuckness Walter Milton Tuckness of Junction, TX, who passed from this life on Friday, April 22, 2016, was born in Mason, TX, on February 8, 1935, to Robert Lee and Myrle (Ward) Tuckness. Milton graduated from Junction High School in 1955, joining the U. S. Army before finishing school. He spent the remainder of his military service in Germany. While working in Ozona after discharge, he met and married Juanita Oathout and her son David, whom he later adopted.
Michael Patrick Shanley On Monday, April 25, 2016, Michael Patrick Shanley peacefully “slipped the bonds of earth” at his home here in Mason, in the company of his beloved wife, Gail, family members and friends. Mike was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 27, 1947, and lived on Long Island until he joined the Army in October 1966.
Larry Henderson Larry Ernest Henderson, age 71, of Voca, Texas, passed away Friday evening, April 22, 2016, in Brady, Texas. He was born August 13, 1944, in Brady, Texas, to Ernest Oliver Henderson & Leah Violet (Passmore) Henderson. Larry married Shirley Lindsey on May 26, 1977, in Brady. He worked for Oglebay Norton Industrial Sands for 30 years, retiring in 2001 as Regional Manager.

Gordon G. Airheart, age 77, of Mason, Texas, passed away Friday, January 15, 2016, in Brownwood, Texas. He was born December 24, 1938, in Mason, Texas, to Walter Chester “Check” Airheart & Ethel Isabelle (Wickliffe) Airheart. He was a mechanic and worked for the Mason Independent School District for over 30 years.
