Andrew Daniel Loeffler of Fredericksburg passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017, at home surrounded by family. He was born on August 21, 1930, to Dan and Meta Itz Loeffler in Hilda TX. He married Victoria Kramer on April 13 1952. Mr. Loeffler worked for TABC as a Special agent. He retired after a 27 ½ years of honorable service in law enforcement.
   Darlene Brandenberger, of Mason, passed away on Monday, January 23, at the age of 75. Darlene is survived by her children Tim Chew and wife Darinda of Mason, Tracy Montoya of Mason, a sister Marlene Duzan of Bluffton and a brother Teddy Ray Doyal and wife Linda of Mason along with 5 grandchildren: Ryan Mehal and wife Crystal of San Antonio, Tyler Chew and wife Bekah of Brady, Carly Sloss and husband Hunter of San Angelo, Brooke Falgout of Mason and Kyle Montoya of Mason.    Louise Humphreys passed away peacefully on January 15, 2017. She was born in Valley Spring, Texas, on April 9, 1919, to Jim and Carrie Bauman Phillips. She attended the Valley Spring school and was a member of the Valley Spring Church of Christ. She married Raymond Humphreys on July 13, 1940.
   Greg Lurz, passed away on Saturday, January 14, in Mason, at the age of 66. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 28, 1950, to Alfred Ernst Oscar Lurz and Anne Parker Lurz. For many years he worked as a purchasing manager in the telecommunications industry. Greg’s favorite hobby was wood working.
   Roy Douglas Boring, age 82, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2017 after a three year struggle with esophageal cancer. He passed surrounded and cared for by his family at his home in Marble Falls, Texas. Born to Louis Oliver Boring and Anna Josephine (Shannon) Boring on January 31, 1934, in Rochelle, Texas, Roy grew up farming and ranching in the Central Texas area.
   Nicholas Neil Leifeste, 35, of Medford, New Jersey, passed away on January 5, 2017. Nick was born in Kerrville, Texas to Diane and Randy Leifeste on March 3, 1981. He grew up in New Braunfels, Texas and attended New Braunfels ISD schools. Nick was a gifted musician, to say the least, and was a proud member of the New Braunfels High School Mighty Unicorn Band.
   Glenn George Capps, 52 years of age, died in his home on December 25, 2016, after a thirty-year battle with multiple sclerosis. George was brilliant, witty, charming, and brave and inspired everyone lucky enough to have known him. Dorice Ysleta Swearingen Watts, age 89, of Mason, Texas, and formerly of San Antonio and of Kerrville, Texas, passed away December 15, 2017. Dorice was born on June 7, 1928, in San Antonio, Texas, to Samuel C. Swearingen and Gertrude Barclay Swearingen. She married the love of her life, Jack Edwin Watts, on November 29, 1947, in San Antonio, where they raised their three children. Dorice worked for many years as the office administrator for DPD Manufacturing Company.
Bobbie Beatrice Ake Miller passed away on Sunday, December 31, at the age of 90. She is survived by two daughters Gwen Vance of Coalinda, California and Fariel Watkins of La Quinta, California, brothers Reubin Ake and wife Lynn of Fredonia and Roben Ake and wife Carla of Mason along with 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
