Wanda Mae Polk, 96, of Belton, Texas. On December 23, 2020, Wanda passed away peacefully at Watkins Logan Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler, Texas.
Wanda was born in Mason, Texas, to Shirley and Ruth (Gleghorn) Stapp. She was an only child. She married David Beck Polk on January 25, 1947.
Wanda Faye Jordan, of Art, passed away on Friday, December 25, at the age of 86.
Mrs. Jordan is survived by her husband Nathaniel Jordan, of Art, a son Darrell Jordan of San Antonio, a daughter Deborah Baxter and husband Don of Mason. Grandchildren Derek Baxter and girlfriend Allison Paris of Austin, Matt Jordan and wife Lauren of Midland, Chad Jordan and wife Alexa of Midland, and Denay Skaggs and husband Wade of San Angelo.
Honorable Bill J. Spiller, age 62 of Brady, Texas, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020, at his residence in Brady.
Bill was born November 4, 1958, in Brady, Texas, to Jack Spiller and Peggy (Broad) Spiller. He graduated from Brady High School and attended the University of Texas in Austin. He graduated as a proud Longhorn with a degree in communications.
Bill was a “people person” and after graduating from college, banks were looking for people with strong “people skills”.
Martha Eudean “Dean” Rumbaugh was born January 27, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, TX, to the late John Palmer “JP” Chambers and Margaret Louella Allen Chambers. She passed away on December 13, 2020, at home in Cross Roads.
Dean was a member of First Baptist Church of Mason. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Clifton and Ernest Chambers.
Survivors include her five children, Michael W.
Sharon Lynnette Petrosky of Marble Falls passed away on Sunday, December 6th, at the age of 50. She was the youngest of three children, born May 11, 1970, in Austin, Texas, to Donald and Joan Thomas.
Sharon studied Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Central Oklahoma and completed her Master’s program in 1993.
Leonard Walter (Dub) Schuessler, of Bedford Texas, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Dub was born in Mason Texas on October 4, 1934. He graduated from Mason High School in 1953. In 1983 he married Barbara Ward, his loving wife, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Dub retired from Benjamin Moore paint company where he was a sales representative for many years.
Wanda Sue Caldwell was born on January 29, 1936, in Mason, Texas to W.C. (Pinkie) and Gladys Willmann.
Sue graduated from Odessa High School in 1953, and attended Southwest Texas State in San Marcos. She married Bob Oates on February 5, 1959 in Odessa. She and Bob owned and operated Lamesa Tire and Battery for many years, until Bob passed away on November 3, 1968.
Marian Louise Dannheim Leifeste of Mason, age 91, passed away peacefully from this life into the arms of Jesus on December 2, 2020.
Marian, or “Tootsie” as she was known by many, was born February 1, 1929, to Alvin, Sr. and Eddie Grace Boston Dannheim, in Mason, Texas. She attended school in Mason, graduating from Mason High School in 1946 as valedictorian of the class.
Mrs. Ervin Eckert, nee Yvonne M. Harper, of Doss passed away on Sunday, November 22nd at the age of 90.
She is survived by her children, Ernie Eckert of Doss, Larry Eckert and spouse Jana of Abilene, Jimmie Jill Pilcher of Doss and Ellen Eckert of Doss. Grandchildren Amber Adams and spouse Jack, Elise Studer and spouse Preston, Brandon Pilcher, Morgan Pilcher and fiancé Brandon Roberson, Evan Eckert and Nicholas Eckert.
