The Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will close for the Thanksgiving holiday at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25 and will also be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27.
Alpha Beta Psi invites everyone to join them on the east and south sides of the Courthouse Square at 4 p.m. on Saturday, November 28th as Santa arrives by Mason Firetruck to welcome in the season, spread candy, cookies and offer hot chocolate to all present. Hot chocolate for the event is graciously provided by The Line Shack.
Heather Shaw took 4 goats and they all placed. She had a 1st, 3rd,3rd and 3rd.
Ranger Schmidt also placed with a 5th and 6th.

The Riata Service Organization would like to express our appreciation to the students and staff of Mason High School who helped us tirelessly at Heritage Park on Blue Ribbon Service Day.
This group cleaned up the park, raked sand in the sandbox, trimmed shrubs and trees, cleaned and swept the bleachers, and hauled away trailers of clippings, leaves, and trash.
Mason Elementary & Junior High PTO Holiday Gourmet Pie & Cookie Dough Fundraiser will begin on 11/16 through 11/30 to help us raise funds for our students' activities and programs.

The 2015 football playoffs began on Friday as Mason headed to Austin and met up with Rosebud-Lott at the Tony Burger Stadium. The Punchers would put their stamp on the game in the opening minutes.
Rosebud received the ball to open the game; but, the Punchers pushed them deep into their own territory, before finally forcing a punt.
The ODEON THEATER will be showing the documentary film MUSCLE SHOALS on Wednesday, November 18 at 7PM as one of another of it's free monthly showings for the public.
Muscle Shoals is a feature-length documentary, with a run time of 111 minutes and is a wonder for music lovers that will recognize many of the headliners that recorded there.
Operation Orphans, Inc. hosted 29 girls from 6 residential children's homes at Camp Gene Ashby, October 30th and 31st. The girls enjoyed deer hunting on 11 area ranches. Animals harvested were 19 spikes, 7 management bucks, 5 feral hogs, and 5 aoudad. The Mason Study Club would like to give the citizens of Mason a heartfelt THANK YOU for making our annual fundraiser, Chili On The Square, a huge success! It was a beautiful, cool and breezy day, and people began stopping by to get a bowl of chili as early as 10:30 in the morning.
The City of Mason will be closed Thursday and Friday November 26 and November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holidays.
Trash trucks will run and pick up as scheduled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (November 23, 24, and 25).
Thursday trash pickup, November 26, will be on Tuesday November 24.
Friday trash pickup, November 27, will be on Wednesday November 25.
Landfill operations will resume Saturday November 28 from 8:00 to 12:00 noon.
