The Llano County Sheriff’s office arrested a Kingsland man in connection with several fires that were on the evening of Thursday, August 13 along Hwy 71 and on a number of rural roads.
Calls began coming in to 911 around 8:04pm on Thursday night, starting with a report of fire on Yeager Creek Road.
On August 4, the City of Llano water/wastewater crews discovered a discharge pipe, leading from pump number one to the check valve, had ruptured, which in turn caused a pump failure.
The main lift station, where the rupture occurred, collects all the wastewater for the city (approximately 300,000 gallons per day) and which is then pumped to the wastewater treatment plant.
The lift station operates on one pony pump and two lead pumps.
