FREDERICKSBURG — Hill Country Memorial Wellness Center is hosting a three-week, six session swim clinic called Total Immersion. The class will accommodate all levels of adult swimmers, including those wanting to learn for the first time. The clinic will be taught by U.S. Masters Swim Coach Alan Carr. The Red-Hotts, Fredericksburg High School’s dance team, will present their Second Annual Spring Variety Show "Dancing Through the Decades" on Friday and Saturday, April 26 and 27, at 7 p.m. at the Fredericksburg High School Auditorium. Tickets are $5 pre-sale and $8 at the door. Advance tickets are available from any FHS Red-Hott or Director Gail Savage.
City Council Meeting of April 1, 2019
On April 1, 2019 Mayor Gail Lang gave a proclamation at the Llano City Council Meeting, declaring the day as Abby Machuga Day. Fourteen-year-old, Abby Machuga, performed an act of bravery by bringing her three younger siblings to safety when a fire broke out at their home on the morning of March 12.
The GOOD news is the entire Llano Library staff will be attending the Texas Library Association Annual Conference in Austin this year. The NOT SO GOOD news is the Llano Library will have to be closed for two days (Tuesday, April 16 and Wednesday, April 17). The BEST news is your Library and the community we serve will greatly benefit from all the staff learns at conference.   The theme for TLA2019 is “Connecting to Innovate, Inspire, and Impact”.

The Texas Well Owner Network is hosting a water well screening Nov. 6 in Llano to give area residents the opportunity to have their well water screened.  The screening will be from 8:30–10 a.m. Nov. 6 at the First Baptist Church in Kingsland. Spanish classes at the Mason Co. M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will resume the second week of May. Carmen Griffith will teach a beginner’s level at 9:30 A.M. on Thursdays and an intermediate level at 10:00 A.M. on Thursdays. The classes are free of charge. Please register in advance by calling 325-347-5446.
St. Joseph Catholic Church will have their BBQ pits fired up this Sunday – April 24th - for their Annual BBQ Chicken Dinner. The dinner offers a plate full of delicious food for a minimum donation of $10. You may ‘Dine In’ at the Parish Hall and visit while you eat or ‘Drive Thru’ to pick up your order. The parishioners appreciate the community’s support for this fundraiser and look forward to serving you.

Physicals for all incoming 7th, 9th, and 11th grade athletes will be administered in the high school gym on May 18th from 5 - 6:30 p.m. All girls and boys that will be participating in athletics and are entering these grades are required to get a physical prior to participation in athletics.
Preparations are underway for the Seton Gala 2016 “Bobby Socks and Classy Chassis,” which is scheduled for October 6, 2016. This will be the 25th anniversary of the Horseshoe Bay Seton Associates Gala, and the event will be held under the tent on the lawn at the beautiful Escondido Golf and Lake Club.
