Over the past weeks you may have been approached by a member of the Round Mountain EEA Club to purchase a raffle ticket for a beautiful quilt that was quilted by one of our club members. And you may have seen the quilt on display at the Texas Regional Bank or the Textile Studio in Blanco or at the Lone Star Bank in Johnson City.
JCISD to honor David Shanley with reception at LBJ High School The community is invited to attend a come-and-go reception at LBJ High School from 4:30 to 6:30pm on Thursday, May 18th, 2017 to honor long-time JCISD Superintendent David Shanley. Shanley’s retirement brings to an end the longest tenure of any Superintendent in the district’s one hundred twenty-four year history.
Linda Haddock announced the purchase of the property at 100 N. Nugent Ave, the historic Cox Brothers Ford dealership dating to the 1920’s. A woman was pronounced dead after being found unresponsive in the Valero Restroom. According to Johnson City Police, on Friday April 21 Johnson City Police Sgt. Chad Wiggins responded to a 911 call from the Valero gas station off of HWY 281 in Johnson City. The Valero store clerk called 911 stating that there was an unresponsive Woman in the bathroom on the floor.
