In recognition of Memorial Day, the Hill Country Cattlewomen held a contest for $100 beef gift cards to honor those who have served. The HCCW received many great stories of deserving individuals and families who have or are currently serving along with their delicious beef recipes. While all the recipes we received were delicious, the winning one may be remembered fondly, or not so fondly, by many veterans as S.O.S.
Summer is here, whether the calendar agrees or not. We are in a no rain, hot cycle according to the TV weatherman. Outside jobs are scheduled for early morning.

Mason County M. Beven Eckert Memorial Library will have our first program in a series of virtual shows for kids this week. Summer Reading at the library will officially begin on July 6, but we will have virtual shows and activity packets available for the month of June. Since we are not able to have a program in the library at this time, we are bringing the programing to you at home!
