It's time to rosin up those bows, folks, because Llano Fiddle Fest Weekend is coming back to Llano April 3 through 5 bigger and better than ever! The featured event will be the 38th Llano Open Fiddle Contest. This event has become one of the top fiddle contests in the state of Texas and will be held on Saturday, April 4th at the historic LanTex Theater.
Individuals affected by acute and chronic pain are invited to a free pain management presentation with dinner at the Dabb's Hotel in Llano on Wednesday, March 25. A complimentary dinner will be provided at 6:00 p.m., and the presentation begins at 6:30. The presentation includes a participant-guided question-and-answer session with Ralph Menard, M.D., a nationally recognized pain management physician with the Hill Country Memorial Medical Group.
Cajun Night at the Llano Country Opry will be staged on Saturday, March 14, at the Lantex Theater in downtown Llano, Texas. The show will begin at 7:30 PM and admission is $16.00. Have you ever played soccer with a beach ball? That's not so odd, but how about if you ARE the beach ball? For "Bubble Soccer", players are dressed in person-sized inflatables, encased in a beach ball, with only legs exposed. The teams try to get a soccer ball into a small goal cage, about the size of the goal in ice hockey.
LHS Student Council Raising Money to Help the Homeless
Llano High School Student Council will be hosting Hot Dogs for the Homeless – April 3, 2015 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm in the parking lot at 906 Ford Street – in front of the H & R Block. Come enjoy a free hot dog lunch sponsored by Weinerschnitzel.
