The Mason High School girls’ varsity basketball 2020-21 season is officially underway as the Cowgirls picked up three consecutive non-district wins over Rocksprings High School, Huckabay High School, and Lago Vista High School to improve to 3-0 overall. Mason Jr. High 7th and 8th grade robotics classes are working with NASA to create an app for the next moon landing. It is a coding challenge where NASA presents technical problems to middle and high school students. The student teams then follow the engineering steps to create an application for a computer device.

The Mason High School varsity cross country program made the trip to take part in the 2020 Class 2A Region IV Cross Country Championships on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Dugan Soccer & Track Stadium on the campus of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and had some superb performances. 7th grade The seventh grade Punchers ran into some stiff competition as they took on Burnet in the last game of the season. The boys played hard but unfortunately came up short as the last buzzer sounded with the scoreboard reading 30-6 in favor of Burnet. For the 10th consecutive season, the Mason High School varsity football team has earned the honor of being named as a district champion. The Oct. 31 contest on road at Ozona High School (6-2 overall and 3-0 in district play before Friday night) was a nailbiter for a vast majority of the game but the Punchers were able to get the job done.
