Mason Cowgirls Varsity Grabs Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Miles
Mason Cowgirls Varsity took the lead late and defeated Miles 15-8 on Tuesday. The game was tied at eight with Mason Cowgirls Varsity batting in the top of the sixth when there was an error, scoring one run.
Jodie Evans collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Mason Cowgirls Varsity to victory.
“There Ain’t No Mountain High Enough!” is the theme for this year’s 4H Leadership Lab, June 27 to June 30. Teen participants will be headed to the Aspendale Mountain Retreat Center in Cloud Croft, New Mexico.
Leadership Lab is held annually in June and 4-H members from ages 13-18 may attend.
Heart of Texas Bible Camp will be the location for Mason County 4H members to attend camp. 4H members from Brown, Callahan, Concho, Llano, Lampasas, Mason, McCulloch, Menard and Runnels counties will attend the two day camp. The deadline to register is Monday, July 3. The cost is $50.00 per 4H member.
For the fifth consecutive year, Mason One-Act Play will be competing at the UIL State One-Act Play contest held at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Center for the Performing Arts 1401 Cedar Street in Bastrop on April 19, 2017.
The road to State was a whirlwind with Area and Region contests being held all in one week!
At the end of the first round of competition, the Mason Punchers first team was in first place with a 60 shot lead. The second team was 12 shots back of San Saba and 1 shot ahead of Junction. Things were looking pretty good for the Punchers. Then a sour turn of events.
On Tuesday, April 4th, five members of Mason County 4-H loaded up and headed to Coleman, Texas for the District 7 Duds to Dazzle Contest.
What is Duds to Dazzle, you might ask? This new clothing and textiles contest allows 4-H members to use creativity to up-cycle unused garments or textiles into usable and stylish products in one of three categories - wearable, non-wearable, and jewelry/accessory.
