Its early morning 7:30am in Mason County and already 81 degrees and I have already received a “high heat alert” from the Weather Channel app on my phone. With coffee in hand I head out to make my way down to the school campus before I head out for work. As I make my way down Puncher Way I can already hear the blow of whistles and the crash of helmets…..its football time in Mason County. Two-a-days has begun! So many things coming up soon Puncher Nation! It is time to support these boys who are practicing in this brutal heat every morning this week and then every afternoon next week to give us all a thrill on Thursday and Friday nights!
I get asked all the time…..”What is Puncher Club and what do y’all do?”
Puncher Club is the Booster Club that monetarily helps to support ALL Mason girls and boys Athletics.
Did you know that every dollar you spend on merchandise from Puncher Club goes directly back to the Punchers and Cowgirls? It is our largest revenue maker and the majority of it is also printed right here in your hometown by Hill Country Sports Wearhouse. Natalie Hudson over at Market Square also houses some of our official Puncher gear so shoppers don’t have to wait to shop with us at the Puncher Merch trailer at home games. Anything you spend with us on a T-shirt, hoodie, car emblems, cups, stadium seats, gun raffle ticket, 50 yard line raffle ticket, Meet the Punchers meal, football program and football program ads, membership fees and so much more…….all that money goes back to our kids! We don’t have the school budget for fancy weight rooms, indoor facilities or the dreaded turf (we LOVE Alfred’s turf more). But we are able to do so much with YOUR money to help our athletic department make sure our kids have what they need when they compete as a Puncher and Cowgirl in every sport throughout the year!

Meet the Punchers/Dine with the Punchers set for August 17th @ 6pm when we scrimmage Blanco! Come out for a meal, buy some Puncher swag, introduction of all your Punchers, watch some great football and the annual MHS Cheer banner auction of all players, cheer and trainers. Tickets for meal available at all banks for $10 or purchase at game.
If you haven’t already it is time to pay your Puncher Club membership fees. You can go by Market Square or Capital Farm Credit to fill out a form and pay your dues or catch us at Meet the Punchers and Meet the Teacher August 10. Become a member before August 16 to be named in the football program.

We have tickets for the 50 yard line box raffle available at all banks, Market Square and Mason Feed Store. $100 a ticket for your chance to be up front and center! Selling tickets until August 30 which will be your last chance for a box if you haven’t been drawn for MISD boxes.
Gun raffle tickets available at Mason Feed Store and at every home game until Nov 3 when winner will be drawn at halftime of game.
Look for the Puncher Club Merch Trailer at ALL home games for JV and Varsity to get ALL your OFFICIAL Puncher Merchandise from us at the Puncher trailer. We have some awesome new designs that will make you SO happy!!! If you can’t make a game go to Market Square where we have some items there. Remember 100% of our proceeds go back to the kids athletics!
