Hey, Puncher Nation! Do you remember back in 2015 when Fox and crew came to Mason and made our Punchers the DQ Big Game of the Week? We had a DQ pep rally, a huge honk parade, even purple ice cream! Our town was painted in purple from end to end! And we beat Goldthwaite 44-7! The Fox Crew was blown away. They told me they had never seen so much pride in one little town!

Let’s show our Puncher Pride like that again Mason! Last year was rough on us all. What better way to bring a smile and some joy than to come together and celebrate our amazing Punchers? Let’s celebrate the first home game at our beloved Puncherdome September 3 against Comfort by painting the town purple!

The Puncher Club wishes to challenge all the Puncher-loving businesses and homes in town to show us your Puncher Pride and drench your store fronts and porches in purple. Get creative! Be unique! Do something outside the box and show your Puncher Pride! The Puncher Club is stocked up on flags and the folks at Mason Building Supply can fix you up with a flagpole. Get those flags waving! We want to see flags from city limit sign to city limit sign. We want to see the official color of Mason all over town.

On the morning of September 3, judges will vote on the business or home with the best Puncher spirit. The winner will get a Puncher package that has tickets to the game, a football signed by the 2021 Mason Punchers, gift cards for dinner, Puncher swag to wear to the game and more. Justin Fisher with Hill Country Sports Network will be out and about getting shots of all the Puncher Pride. If you make a big enough purple splash, he may just pick you to be featured in a free spot! There’s no fan base like the Puncher Nation! Let’s make this season a season to remember and show why Mason is the best place for Friday Night Lights!
