What is Happening to Our Land?
In the 25 years between 1982 and 2007, the U.S. lost 23.1 million acres of agricultural land to “development” (houses, roads, parking lots, shopping centers, etc.). That’s about the size of Indiana! Texas lost the most of any other state, by a large margin—2.9 million acres!
