Mason Tennis Team Brings Home State Titles
The Mason High School Tennis Team competed in the UIL State Tennis Tournament in San Antonio on May 20, 2021. The Punchers continued their winning ways bringing home thirteen medals. Those participating in the tournament were, left to right: Lucy Rochat, Parker Standard, Reagan Norman, Makenna Palacio, Kylie Cockerham, Jakelin Zermeno, Sterling Smith, Tyler Schmidt, Matthew Kerr, Bailan Kerr, Jerry Zermeno, Chainey Weitz, Tate Spencer, Ty Spencer, and Coach Cade Smith.
Mason High School once again had an excellent showing at the State Tennis Tournament in San Antonio on May 20-21st. It was an all Mason final in the boy’s doubles, girl’s doubles, and mixed doubles and we also had one entry in the girl’s singles finale. After all was said and done, Mason players brought home four State Championships and three State Runner-up medals. In boy’s doubles, brothers Matthew and Bailan Kerr bested brothers Ty and Tate Spencer to earn the gold.
