Mason OAP Named 2nd Runner-Up at State Contest
On Wednesday April 28th, a send off parade was held for Mason’s One Act Play troupe. The community showed up to support the group as the bus of students drove around the courthouse square following the Mason VFD fire truck. Pausing for a quick photo before they left for their competition were (L-R): Will Ince, Lizzy White, Cloe Doege, James Simonton, Morgan Menchaca, Kim Suarez, Merlina Gamel, Esme Lugo, Madalynn Del Toro, Abbey Wallace, Mason Hatfield, Linden Chapman, Parker Standard, Hannah Bishop, Taylor Hardin, Lauren Olson and Jacki Maenius.
The Mason One Act Play company performed at the State UIL OAP Contest on April 28 in Seguin. After the eighth and final show, the group was treated to a glorious awards banquet, compliments of supportive, loving parents and friends. The space was graciously provided by the County Extension Service office in Guadalupe County where Merlina Gamel's sister, Charla Bading, is an agent.
