Common sense, vigilance the best precautions On the centennial anniversary of the worldwide flu pandemic of 1918, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Texas Department of State Health Services and local health experts encourage the public to take every precaution against the flu this year. “Last year our community was particularly hard hit by the flu,” said James Partin, M.D., Hill Country Memorial Chief Medical Officer.
