“Bad Day” Pursuit ends in Pederanales Falls State Park
A high speed pursuit led by Texas DPS ended when the driver of the fleeing vehicle lost control and crashed into trees in Pedernales Falls State Park. The driver claimed the reason for fleeing was because he was having a “bad day”.

On March 20, 2015 at approximately 2:18 pm, Blanco County 911 was transfered a call in reference to a reckless driver traveling south on US Highway 281 towards Johnson City from the Burnet County line. Deputy Marty Corcoran and Texas DPS Trooper Bryan Lietz responded to the call. Trooper Lietz and Deputy Corcoran observed the vehicle traveling at a very high rate of speed as it passed the Pedernales Electric Cooperative training center.
