The Hext Volunteer Fire department will be having their annual fundraiser on Saturday October 31st. from 11:00 to 4:00 at the old Hext schoolhouse on Hwy. 29. The men of the fire department will be cooking the fish, French fries and hushpuppies and the ladies will be cooking all the trimmings including beans, coleslaw, corn salad, and deserts. There will be a raffle of about 80 items including 6 guns, and a silent auction with numerous items including baked goods.
