On Monday, May 27, 2019, we honor the men and women who have died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971. Here at the Llano Chamber of Commerce we give our thanks to those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to this country and we realize that freedom is not free.
