The medalists showed their mettle. Courtney Reina (R) won bronze. Devon Williams took gold, and Ebony Wolridge claimed silver.
KINGSVILLE—Don’t think of her just as a wild card, and don’t think of her as “number nine” in the state. Courtney Reina earned a trip to Mike Myers Stadium, May 11, in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 11-and-a-half inches. She was third in the Region IV Meet, April 27, and only two advance to State.
