Commissioners vote to oppose Sandy Creek sand plant proposal
A packed courtroom saw the Llano County Commissioners vote to oppose a proposed sand plant near Sandy Creek. By a 3-2 vote, with County Judge Mary Cunningham and Precinct 4 Commissioner Jerry Don Moss opposing, the commissioners passed a resolution to oppose a portable crusher and sand/gravel plant proposed by Collier Materials, Inc., to be located at Sandy Creek on land off SH 71.
