The Lantex Theater was a cool place to be on a hot Saturday night in June in the Texas Hill Country. With Tracy Pitcox, promoter of the Llano Country Opry, in Snyder for the West Texas Western Swing Festival, the night was left to Tom Tolson to emcee, and he did a remarkable job filling in. But, this night was not about western swing, it was about pure country music.
