Llano High Cross-Examination Debate team takes fifth
The duo of Bailey McCorkendale and James Edmonson finished fifth in the district Cross-Examination Debate meet.

On Tuesday, Feb. 6, two Llano High School freshmen competed at the annual district Cross-Examination Debate meet. Bailey McCorkendale and James Edmonson have been debating as a team since September and were the “long-shot” in this competition. Most of their opponents were upper-classmen who had successfully completed rigorous weeks of summer debate camps, yet the McCorkendale-Edmonson team managed to win rounds and earn themselves a fifth place title.
