Area sales tax figures are a mixed bag
City of Llano sees slight decrease
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar reported sending over $592.8 million in sales tax remittances to Texas cities in February, up 5.15 percent over the amounts sent to cities in February 2017. Some local municipalities soared above the statewide sales tax average increase for the month compared to last year, while others lagged last year’s figures.
