Area Democrats unite to hear candidates’ pitches

It was part revival, part sales pitch as Democrats met Saturday to hear from their candidates. In Marble Falls, Democratic Party groups from Llano, Burnet and Bianco counties met to hear speeches and visit with candidates for state house, congress, agriculture commissioner, lieutenant governor and governor. Candidates spoke excitedly about a “blue tsunami” of candidates and voters that they expect to hit Texas. Jennie Lou Leeder of Llano is one of two Democrats running for U.S.
