Lack of funds to TRS is hurting some retired teachers
With more than a decade without an increase in cost of living adjustments, some Texas retired educators are struggling to make ends meet. Retired teachers and school personnel last received a raise in 2005, when they were given $1,200 to bring their retirement up to the cost of living at that time.
