Elmer “Sonny” Hitt went to be with his Lord on Jan. 6, 2018. He was born March 14, 1933 in Post to Elmer Lee and Gladys Elliott Hitt. He graduated from Southland High School and married his high school sweetheart, Novella Nixon. She passed away in October 1997. He married Wanda McCain on June 18, 1998 in Paris, Texas.
