This Casey Did Not Strike Out

FREDERICKSBURG—The freshman and the senior from Llano ran side by side in the Billies Cross Country Invitational, and the freshman won that duel—by a second. Anna Casey, for the first time in a brief varsity career, was the top Lady Jacket in a two-mile race, September 23, while Meagan Riley was next, and both finished in the top nine in a field of 64. The pair led Llano to fourth-place in the eight-team standings. “I was pleased,” Casey told me.
