Bonds, COs cause huge hike in city tax rate

The Llano City Council finalized a tax rate and budget at its meeting on Monday, and also extended the terms of the city manager and city secretary. The council unanimously approved a tax rate of $0.71936 per $100 valuation. The tax rate is expected to generate just over $1.13 million in the coming fiscal year, with $686,482 going to maintenance and operation funds and $445,309 going to interest and sinking funds.
