Adopt-a-County Road program looking for ‘adopters’
Many miles of county roads may be adopted by community groups, businesses or others.

In 2014, Llano County Precinct 1 commissioner Peter Jones became concerned about the litter building up along the county roads and spearheaded a program to get it under control. That is how the adopt-a-road program started in Llano County, by the commissioners court. “The Llano County Adopt-a-County Road Program was established to maintain the natural beauty of our county and to decrease the cost of litter pickup,” said Jones.
