Chuck wagon winners
A pair from Llano won big at the American Chuck Wagon Association championship cook-off held March 31-April 1 in Fredericksburg. J Diamond B owned by Bobby and JoAnne Mims of Llano competed and placed in several categories. They finished second for their 1897 Newton chuck wagon. In the foot categories, the won first place in dessert, third in potatoes and fifth in meat and bread. There were 13 chuck wagon teams from six states that competed in the event.
