Historical monuments off Hwy. 71 vandalized
This historical monument was placed at Hwy. 71 and CR 309 by the state in 1936 as part of its centennial celebration. This historical marker was placed for the Battle of Packsaddle Mountain.

A pair of historical markers along Hwy. 71 in Llano County have been vandalized. The historical markers near Packsaddle Mountain, at CR 309 and near CR 308, have been sprayed by paint. Karylon Hallmark Russell, co-chair of the Llano County Historical Commission, said they were informed of the vandalism by email.
