Center wins national title with Mary Hardin-Baylor football team

BELTON — The dateline — the city mentioned a few words ago — isn’t totally a stretch. I did see Mary Hardin-Baylor beat Linfield College of Oregon, 27-10, here, November 26, in the second round of the Division III playoffs. That was en route to a national championship, and Llano’s Colton Center was part of the perfect-season ride. “The first time I thought we could win the big one this year was the third game of the regular season when we ran over then third-ranked Linfield, 66-27.
