James (Jim) Walter Meyer of Llano passed away Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, at the age of 94. He was born Sept. 18, 1922, to Julia (Trotier) and Walter Meyer in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. He married Charlene Emma DeCanter, also from Rhinelander, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on April 26, 1952. They enjoyed a loving and devoted marriage for 64 years. Jim served in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of first lieutenant as a bombardier pilot during World War II for state-side training.
