Robert Pope isn’t on your ordinary cross-country journey. The Liverpool, England, native and champion marathoner is following the route the fictional character and movie namesake Forrest Gump took from Mobile, Ala., to the Pacific Ocean in California in his cross-country run. Pope began the journey last month and made his way through Llano on Thursday. As Pope came into town along Hwy.
