Farm Bureau holds annual meeting, donates to fire departments
The Llano County Farm Bureau donated $100 to each volunteer fire department in Llano County at its annual meeting held last week. Receiving the funds were Bubba Martin of Castell VFD, Darrell Miiller of Kingsland VFD, Roy Feller of Llano VFD, Richard Castro of Sandy Harbor VFD and Soc Gonzales of Valley Springs VFD. Representatives from Buchanan Dam VFD, Sunrise Beach VFD and Tow VFD were unable to make the meeting.

The 2016 Llano County Farm Bureau annual meeting was held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the American Legion Hall in Llano. Over 150 members, board members and staff were on hand to enjoy a fried fish dinner and listen to Whitney Whitworth speak about Veterinary Feed Directive. Board members Ron Duckworth and Gene Hall stepped down and were replaced by Joe Wells and Roland Rode.
