AG issues county vehicle policy opinion
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued an opinion last Thursday on the Llano County vehicle policy. The opinion summary said that the county may only put into place vehicle policies for sheriff’s office vehicles that do not “unreasonably interfere with the sheriff’s constitutional or statutory duties.” The second part of the opinion dealt with the county auditor’s ability to access records on the use of county vehicles.
