This time, it counts. Each year as the Major League Baseball All-Star game gears up, we hear that utter nonsensical phrase left to us as part of former commissioner Bud Selig’s legacy. Each time I hear it, I’d like to chunk something in ole Bud’s direction as I walk away muttering. As you read these words, this year’s mid-summer classic is over, and some league now has home field advantage for the sport’s crowning moment, the World Series.
