Fighting various kinds of fires is something Ervin Light has been doing most of his life. Light became a firefighter when he left school early to enter the military during the Vietnam War, following in the footsteps of his father, who served on the Llano Volunteer Fire Department. Later in life, he became a pastor, and now describes his work as trying to keep people out of the eternal fire.
