A true champion
Mitch Dunn overcame faulty equipment to finish his event at the Special Olympics meet in Leander earlier this month.

Special Olympian Mitch Dunn taught us a lot about bravery and perseverance at the track and field event at Bible Stadium in Leander on May 6. Mitch was scheduled to race the 25 meter obstacle and 50 meter Slalom power wheelchair races. However, the joy stick which controls his power chair began to malfunction. He was able to drive his chair, but it was sporadic.
