Deer Collisions More Likely in November; Data Shows Deer Danger Greater in 2015
Texans are more likely to have a deer collision this year, according to State Farm claims data. The odds drivers will hit a deer in Texas are 1 out of 297; the national odds are 1 in 169. Texas ranked 39th in the nation in deer collision claims. State Farm estimates insurers will receive 52,000 deer collision claims in the Lone Star State in 2015. November is the month drivers are most likely to collide with a deer; followed by October and December.
