OPINION: JP Courts – Just the Facts Ma’am
Dear Editor, The major consideration as to whether to trim expenses in the county’s JP courts is their case load – at least it is according to the Texas Judicial Branch that reports on this stuff. However, none of the JPs want to talk about it. So I will. According to the Texas Judicial Branch’s “Annual Statistical Report for the Texas Judiciary Fiscal Year 2014,” there are 817 Justice of the Peace Courts in the State of Texas. There are four in Llano County.
