Galloping Down Deep Stretch
Elainia Keeney will be a top contender for a high finish at district next month, and the team has a chance to advance to regionals.

A trio of lady Jackets were in the Top 15 in the Brownwood High Invitational Cross Country Meet, September 17. “Tough schools {were present},” said head coach Joe Downey. The list included the hosts which won the girls’ division. Stephenville was second, followed by Abilene Wylie and Copperas Cove. Llano—with no seniors—was fifth, beating Mineral Wells and Bangs. Sophomore Elainia Keeney placed eighth in the two-mile event with a time of 13 minutes, 44 seconds.
