The group of 55 Woman's Culture Club members and guests visited The Painted Churches of Texas at Schulenburg on the club's annual spring bus trip. Included on the tour were the Catholic Churches at Dubina, Ammannsville, and the St. Mary's Catholic Church at High Hill, which is often called the "Queen of the Painted Churches." After a buffet lunch at Oakridge Smokehouse, a guide from the Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce joined the tour to escort the group to the three churches.
