Some of the brothers-in-law that emerged from the families who were the earliest Anglo settlers in Llano County have been recognized in recent weeks. Coming from the east across the Colorado River, or bypassing the river entirely at its southern most bend, Anglos took up land in what became Llano County as early as 1852.
