Love Thy Brother (And Brother-In-Law)

Note the grave of William Louis Overstreet, brother-in-law to the Templeton brothers of Lone Grove, also served as a Texas Ranger per the metal cross by his marker.
Many of the earliest men who settled in Llano County were brothers. Oddly, the German community near Castell, which was the first settlement, had almost no brothers who immigrated to Texas together in 1847. Plus, the sons of those men who did come were still too young at this time to make much of an impact.
