Local business owners alarmed by city’s lack of financial audits, city responds
Under the “Financial Transparency” tab on the City of Johnson City’s website, the annual financial audits that are required by state law are not there for the last four fiscal years. Only the audits from fiscal years ending Sept. 30, 2012, Sept. 30, 2014, and Sept. 30, 2015 are available online, although Texas law requires them to be published every year.
